Evil Dead 2 Kickstarter Info

Evil Dead 2: Back from the Dead!

Greetings and welcome to Evil Dead 2 The Board Game, by our friends, Jasco Games. The publishers of “Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Board Game“, “Cowboy Bebop: Board Game Boogie“, “My Hero Academia The Collectible Card Game” and many many more.

So the nitty gritty of this officially licensed board game campaign is this: There’s something a little different about this one. A few years ago, another company successfully launched an Evil Dead 2 board game campaign. That game was never fulfilled to its backers. This other company collected all of the money and delivered nothing to thousands of ED2 fans that participated in their project. Because of this travesty, Jasco Games, collaborating with Lynnvander Studios, the Evil Dead 2 licensing group, and our other partners have come together to bring this Game back from the dead.

We are doing this for you! Due to this, we’re calling this campaign a Heartthrob Campaign.

Therefore, what that means is when this campaign successfully funds, all of the backers of the previous campaign (that we had nothing to do with), will get a copy of Evil Dead 2 The Board Game. All for only the cost of shipping (that’s right, free + shipping).

Delivery of Evil Dead 2

We cannot deliver exactly what previous backers pledged for. That is not our project. We hope that you will all love this game and appreciate what we are trying to do for our beloved gaming community. Therefore, our board game is an entirely NEW game designed by Lynnvander Studios. Tested heavily by Jasco Games and play testers. If you were one of many backers of the previous campaign, refer to the section below called “Original Backers”. There you will find answers to some commonly asked questions. You can verify that you are on our backer list to receive your copy of Evil Dead 2 The Board Game.

If you are a new backer, we welcome you as well! You will not only be getting a fantastic board game for $59 (An $80 retail value game when it hits stores). It is completely designed, tested and ready to print upon funding of this campaign. You are also helping bring thousands of people a new copy of Evil Dead 2 The Board Game! They really got hurt by the other company. Due to this, we, as a community, are very proud to have the opportunity to do right by those backers.

Do the math on this, because you will see that this Kickstarter campaign was designed to do a good thing. Profit is not the main purpose of the campaign. This is why we are selling the games as close to our production cost as possible. Therefore we can include a free game to original backers into that cost.

The Chronicle System

Lynnvander Games Studios Announces New Chronicle System

Lynnvander Studios has announced a new Chronicle System which takes the Legacy game format and implements it to the next level. At its base, the Chronicle System provides a captivating story for players to experience while playing the game and making choices which have long-lasting impact throughout the entire campaign. Where the Chronicle System differs from the standard Legacy adventure-style game is in future releases. Players will influence the direction of the product line.

At the root of the Chronicle System is a checkpoint-based system. Once players complete the first core season, they can submit information about their play to Lynnvander. The developers at Lynnvander use this to create future content incorporating these decisions. In this way, players have a direct impact on how the game world develops.

Another core belief of the Chronicle System is they will not have destructible elements, meaning players can play through multiple times without acquiring new materials. Each box set will only have one opportunity to provide feedback to Lynnvander, but players can enjoy the game multiple times to explore avenues they didn’t originally see based on their choices.

Lynnvander Game Studios was founded in 2014 by Thomas Gofton. Since it’s inception, it has been responsible for multiple game products including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Cowboy Bebop, Shadowrun Sprawl Ops, and the upcoming Evil Dead 2 heart-throb campaign. The core design team includes Thomas Gofton, Josh Derksen, and Dylan Birtolo.

The first Chronicle System game from Lynnvander Game Studios is scheduled to be announced and available for order by the end of the year with five more over the next two years. For more information, follow Lynnvander.com or Lynnvander’s Vlog at youtube.com/atmageek

STar trek Box Board game

Star Trek: Alliance

WizKids Games has announced a new Clix-based Star Trek game called Star Trek: Alliance. The game will launch in August with Star Trek: Alliance – Dominion War Campaign.

Created by Josh Derksen and Thomas Gofton of Lynnvander Studios, Star Trek: Alliance is a cooperative game where players control ships from the Star Trek universe, leading them through missions involving enemy forces controlled by the game system. Each game offers the crews of each player’s ship the opportunity to gain experience, which can then be spent between missions to upgrade their ship’s abilities.

The Dominion War Campaign recalls the Dominion War storyline from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, in which the Federation formed an alliance with rivals and enemies to repel an invasion from the Gamma Quadrant. In Star Trek Alliance – Dominion War Campaign, players’ Federation ships go up against the Dominion, the most powerful political entity in the Gamma Quadrant. Star Trek: Alliance – Dominion War Campaign includes everything two players need to play through the entire six-mission campaign. Multiple copies of the set can be combined to let up to six players participate in the campaign.

Star Trek: Alliance – Dominion War Campaign includes 5 pre-painted plastic ships – 1 Excelsior-class, 1 Akira-class, and 3 Jem’Hadar Attack Ships—with transparent plastic bases and pegs, 13 maneuver templates, 2 HeroClix maneuver dials, 122 tokens, 66 cards, 12 dice, and 1 range ruler. The set is intended for 1 or 2 players, ages 14 and up. Games take about half an hour to play. MSRP is $49.99.

The ships and upgrades included in this game are fully compatible with the Star Trek: Attack Winggame. WizKids recently released a series of Faction Packs for Attack Wing, one of which is the Star Trek: Attack Wing Dominion Faction Pack – The Cardassian Union. The set includes four pre-painted ships with cards, tokens, dial, bases, and pegs. The cards and tokens in the pack are all new to Star Trek: Attack Wing. Ships featured in the Faction Pack include two Cardassian Keldon Class ships, a Cardassian Galor Class ship, and a Klingon Bird-of-Prey. The set is available now with an MSRP of $29.99.

Buffy’s Friends and Frenimies

Buffy the Vampire Slayer – Friends and Frenemies

Lynnvander Studios and Jasco Games are proud to announce the first expansion set for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The new addition includes everything from new locations for the town, members of the military to mess with your plans, and more.

The different additions to the game are modular, allowing you to use any of the pieces as you like. Included in this new expansion is a new board, creating a new scenario and adding The Initiative to the game. Members of their organization hunt monsters, changing some of the key mechanics of the game.

New big bads create new challenges for experienced players. Dark Willow, Drusilla, and Spike operate in new ways, serving up new challenges for the Scoobies.

Finally, there are several new Scoobies; Anya, Riley, Oz, Faith, Tara, and Dawn make their debut. Each provides their own new ways to play the game, giving you new characters and new ways to play the game.

Legacy of Mana at Gen Con

We’re also extremely happy to thank our artist Steven Bellshaw for his hard work creating over 60+ individual characters to help illustrate our world! Special thanks to our content developer Kyle Van Dyke and our creative writer lead Jaym Gates and finally, our very own Lynnvander, Josh Derksen for laying this book out!

Imagine a world where Wizards and Sorcerers don’t reign supreme: a world where magic is as powerful as ever, and flows from the core of the planet itself through every living thing in the form of mana, and yet, those who wield it, those who are most attuned to it, fear for their lives, hunted to near extinction by an army of ordinary soldiers. The knights of this army carved their way across the land, empowered by alchemically crafted swords that thirsted for and destroyed mana in all of its forms, absorbing lightning bolts as harmless white light, draining magical creatures of their very life force, and converting the stored energy drained from the mana into powerful blasts of energy.
