The Chronicle System

Lynnvander Games Studios Announces New Chronicle System

Lynnvander Studios has announced a new Chronicle System which takes the Legacy game format and implements it to the next level. At its base, the Chronicle System provides a captivating story for players to experience while playing the game and making choices which have long-lasting impact throughout the entire campaign. Where the Chronicle System differs from the standard Legacy adventure-style game is in future releases. Players will influence the direction of the product line.

At the root of the Chronicle System is a checkpoint-based system. Once players complete the first core season, they can submit information about their play to Lynnvander. The developers at Lynnvander use this to create future content incorporating these decisions. In this way, players have a direct impact on how the game world develops.

Another core belief of the Chronicle System is they will not have destructible elements, meaning players can play through multiple times without acquiring new materials. Each box set will only have one opportunity to provide feedback to Lynnvander, but players can enjoy the game multiple times to explore avenues they didn’t originally see based on their choices.

Lynnvander Game Studios was founded in 2014 by Thomas Gofton. Since it’s inception, it has been responsible for multiple game products including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Cowboy Bebop, Shadowrun Sprawl Ops, and the upcoming Evil Dead 2 heart-throb campaign. The core design team includes Thomas Gofton, Josh Derksen, and Dylan Birtolo.

The first Chronicle System game from Lynnvander Game Studios is scheduled to be announced and available for order by the end of the year with five more over the next two years. For more information, follow or Lynnvander’s Vlog at

Buffy the Vampire Slayer – Friends and Frenemies

Lynnvander Studios and Jasco Games are proud to announce the first expansion set for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The new addition includes everything from new locations for the town, members of the military to mess with your plans, and more.

The different additions to the game are modular, allowing you to use any of the pieces as you like. Included in this new expansion is a new board, creating a new scenario and adding The Initiative to the game. Members of their organization hunt monsters, changing some of the key mechanics of the game.

New big bads create new challenges for experienced players. Dark Willow, Drusilla, and Spike operate in new ways, serving up new challenges for the Scoobies.

Finally, there are several new Scoobies; Anya, Riley, Oz, Faith, Tara, and Dawn make their debut. Each provides their own new ways to play the game, giving you new characters and new ways to play the game.

You can find this game and more at Gen Con 2019 at the Jasco Games booth!

Legacy of Mana at Gen Con

We’re also extremely happy to thank our artist Steven Bellshaw for his hard work creating over 60+ individual characters to help illustrate our world! Special thanks to our content developer Kyle Van Dyke and our creative writer lead Jaym Gates and finally, our very own Lynnvander, Josh Derksen for laying this book out!

Imagine a world where Wizards and Sorcerers don’t reign supreme: a world where magic is as powerful as ever, and flows from the core of the planet itself through every living thing in the form of mana, and yet, those who wield it, those who are most attuned to it, fear for their lives, hunted to near extinction by an army of ordinary soldiers. The knights of this army carved their way across the land, empowered by alchemically crafted swords that thirsted for and destroyed mana in all of its forms, absorbing lightning bolts as harmless white light, draining magical creatures of their very life force, and converting the stored energy drained from the mana into powerful blasts of energy.

The Terminator

board game design

Team Lynnvander has been hired to design The Terminator™: The Official Board Game! Working with the creative heads over at Space Goat Productions, Lynnvander is responsible for the design and development of this spectacular board game.

Want to know more?

The Terminator™: The Official Board Game is an asymmetrical strategy game for 2-5 players played across two boards: one in 1984 and one in 2029. One player takes control of all of Skynet’s forces: Hunter Killer machines, Terminator cyborgs, and more. The rest of the players take the role of the human resistance, struggling against the impossible odds of the machine uprising. Each of the two game boards play differently: 2029 focuses on light troop and resource management in a lopsided battle for dominance. 1984 focuses on personal missions with high stakes and intense pacing. Missions arise through the course of gameplay, and have players make decisions in 1984 that will affect the future, erasing and adding components in real time.
